Twelve weeks ago The Love Umbrella Project was nothing more than an idea.

Last night, over 400 people helped us celebrate its great success.

On behalf of myself Kelly Deck, The Vancouver Foundation and Leave Out Violence I would like to thank every participant, sponsor, trade and donor that made this project a reality.

Above all, I would like to thank the tireless troop of volunteers who first believed in the project and then dedicated their time and invaluable expertise to the project: Patrycja, David, Carla, Kylie, Susan, Brian, Jamie K, Hilda, Garth, Cristina, Cristina K, Catherine, Roy, Elisa, Chih, Warren, Nelson, Fern , Jeff, Arinn, Caitlin, Ehren, Angela, Nicole and of course - Mom, Dad and my sister Jamie.

I am truly moved and inspired by you all.

Thank you for making yesterday the most love-filled Valentine's Day imaginable.

Kelly

Love inspires compassion and connects us all.

Love is the common cause that brought together the 13 community leaders and 13 photographers to realize The Love Umbrella Project.

Tonight, our communities and the public will come together at our Valentine's Day silent auction and exhibition; all proceeds from the sale of art and umbrellas will go to the awesome kids at Leave Out Violence (LOVE)

Here's a sneak peek of what's in store.

Happy V-day to you Vancouver from everyone at The Love Umbrella Project. We L-O-V-E You!
